About this estimate
This calculator applies the CRA's published 2026 figures for every province and territory: federal brackets at the new 14% lowest rate, each jurisdiction's brackets and basic personal amount (including the Manitoba phase-out and Yukon's mirror of the federal amount), the Ontario surtax and health premium, the 16.5% Quebec abatement, the Canada employment amount, CPP and EI credits, CPP payable on self-employment income, the 50% capital gains inclusion, and each province's dividend tax credits. Pick a different province on the map to see the same numbers under its rates, a quick what-if for a move or a comparison.
It leaves out anything it can't know from a few numbers: medical expenses, donations, tuition, the age amount, spousal transfers, carryforwards, and provincial low-income reductions outside Ontario among them. Quebec's QPP/QPIP payroll rates are approximated with CPP/EI. Treat the result as a directional snapshot, not a filing position. When you're ready for the real number, we'll prepare the return.
