Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Greywood Advisory is a personal tax preparation practice based in London, Ontario, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information submitted through this website.

We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation.

2. Information We Collect

We collect personal information only when you voluntarily submit it through our contact form. This may include:

  • Your first and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Details about your tax situation that you choose to share

We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising scripts on this website. We collect anonymous, aggregated visit statistics as described in section 5.

3. How We Use Your Information

Information submitted through the contact form is used solely to:

  • Respond to your enquiry
  • Assess whether we are able to assist with your tax situation
  • Communicate with you about our services, where you have requested this

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Form Processing

Our website is hosted by Vercel, and contact form submissions are delivered to us by email through Resend, a third-party email service. These providers process form data on our behalf during transmission; their own privacy policies govern how they handle data on their infrastructure. You can review them at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy and resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

5. Website Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how visitors find the site. It is a cookieless service: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not track you across other websites. Visit data is anonymized and aggregated — we see page counts and referrers, never an identifiable individual. You can review Vercel's privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain contact form submissions and related correspondence for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected — typically for the duration of any engagement and for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping purposes.

If you become a client, your tax-related information is retained in accordance with CRA record-keeping requirements, which generally require records to be kept for a minimum of six years from the end of the last tax year to which they relate.

7. Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we implement appropriate safeguards, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Under PIPEDA and applicable provincial law, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Withdraw consent to our use of your information, where consent is the basis for processing
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to our legal and regulatory obligations

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
